Professor of Civil Procedural Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, he graduated in Messina and completed his academic training in Germany (Würzburg). He has also taught civil procedure, insolvency law and arbitration law at the University of Pisa.
Co-editor of the Rivista dell’Arbitrato and member of several academic and editorial boards, he is the author of numerous publications in civil procedure, arbitration, private international law and insolvency law. In 2024 he republished his collected works on arbitration in two volumes.
Lawyer since 1986 and qualified to appear before the Supreme Court, he combines academic activity with extensive legal practice, with a strong focus on the integration of theory and practice.
His practice focuses primarily on civil and commercial litigation, particularly complex disputes, Supreme Court proceedings and matters involving international and corporate law issues. He is frequently instructed to provide expert opinions in both domestic and international contexts.
